First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study enrolled 343 adults with atrial fibrillation to see if a team-based care program led by a heart rhythm specialist could help control the condition and uncover hidden risk factors. Participants received coordinated care from multiple specialists. The main goal was to measure how much time the heart spent in fibrillation using a 14-day heart monitor, and to track serious heart events like stroke or heart attack.
