Could a vitamin a derivative boost chemo for pancreatic cancer?

NCT ID NCT04241276

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a drug called ATRA (a form of vitamin A) to standard chemotherapy can help people with locally advanced pancreatic cancer live longer without their disease getting worse. About 170 participants will receive either chemo alone or chemo plus ATRA. The goal is to see if the combination slows tumor growth better than chemo alone.
