First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at 320 people with atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) to see how genetic, biological, and imaging factors relate to the disease getting worse over 10 years. Researchers used ultrasound scans to track changes in the arteries of the legs and neck. The goal was to better understand why some people have heart attacks, strokes, or other serious events, and to improve future risk prediction.
