Summary
This study looked at whether taking astaxanthin, a natural supplement, for four weeks could help soccer players maintain their skills and recover faster after exhausting exercise. Thirty healthy male college soccer players took either astaxanthin or a placebo daily. After four weeks, they did a tough workout and were tested on passing, sprinting, and jumping. The goal was to see if astaxanthin could reduce fatigue and improve performance.
