First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study compares two drug combinations—aspirin plus ticagrelor versus aspirin plus clopidogrel—in people who recently had a minor stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) caused by a large blood vessel blockage. The goal is to see which combo better prevents new strokes and heart attacks over three months. About 900 adults aged 18–75 will take one of the two treatments within 24 hours of their first event, and researchers will track bleeding risks and other side effects.
