First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looked at whether providing educational materials about kidney transplants and the new organ allocation system to dialysis facilities could help reduce racial disparities in getting on the transplant waiting list. Over 56,000 patients at about 750 dialysis centers across the US took part. The goal was to see if this approach could make the transplant process more equitable.
