Are endurance athletes at risk for hidden artery hardening?

Summary
This study will use ultrasound to look for medial arterial calcification (hardening of the artery walls) in 60 healthy endurance athletes. The goal is to find out how common this condition is in this group and see if it relates to their training volume and other heart risk factors. Participants must be high-level athletes who have done over 5 hours of vigorous endurance exercise per week for more than 10 years.
