First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested whether a special oral care routine, including dental cleaning and mouth treatments, could reduce severe mouth sores in people receiving radiation for head and neck cancer. About 60 participants were assigned to either the special care or standard brushing. The goal was to see if the special care lowered the severity of mouth sores and related inflammation.
