Summary

This study tests whether the drug apremilast can reduce cravings for alcohol in people with moderate to severe alcohol use disorder. About 100 adults who want to cut back or quit drinking will take either a low or high dose of apremilast or a placebo daily for two weeks. Researchers will measure changes in cravings, drinking behavior, mood, and quality of life.
