Smartwatch heart study aims to catch dangerous rhythm early
NCT ID NCT05923359
Summary
This study is testing whether wearing an Apple Watch for long-term monitoring can help detect atrial fibrillation (AFib) earlier in people at high risk. Researchers will enroll 2,000 adults who show signs of potential AFib on a standard heart test but haven't been diagnosed. The goal is to see if continuous smartwatch monitoring leads to earlier diagnosis and treatment, which could help prevent serious complications like stroke.
