First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a protein in the blood, called apolipoprotein, can predict how much weight people lose after sleeve gastrectomy surgery for severe obesity. Researchers will measure this protein in 110 adults before surgery and track their weight loss for 8 months. The goal is to find a specific protein level that helps doctors decide who will benefit most from surgery versus non-surgical weight loss methods.
