Summary
This study looks at whether the blood thinner apixaban can safely dissolve blood clots in the main vein of the liver (portal vein) that appear more than a year after spleen removal surgery. The trial involves 20 adults with cirrhosis who had this surgery. Researchers will measure how many patients have complete or partial clot clearing with apixaban treatment.
