Blood thinner trial targets dangerous Post-Surgery clots

Summary
This study is testing if the blood-thinning medication apixaban is safe and effective at dissolving blood clots that form in a major liver vein more than a year after spleen removal surgery. It involves 20 patients with liver cirrhosis who develop this specific type of clot. Doctors will use regular scans to check if the clot dissolves while patients take the medication.
