New device aims to prevent aortic rupture after emergency heart surgery

Summary
This study tests a new device designed to help the aorta heal better after surgery for a life-threatening aortic tear (Type A dissection). About 198 adults who recently had surgery will either get the new device or standard care. The goal is to see if the device reduces the risk of future complications by promoting better remodeling of the damaged aorta.
