New device aims to prevent aortic rupture after emergency heart surgery

Summary
This study tests a new device designed to help the aorta heal better after emergency surgery for a life-threatening tear (type A aortic dissection). About 198 adults who recently had this surgery will either receive the device or continue standard care. The goal is to see if the device reduces the risk of future complications by promoting proper remodeling of the aorta.
