Heart surgery patients: do your blood pressure pills raise risks?

NCT ID NCT07541222

First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study watches 160 adults having planned heart surgery to see if taking more than one blood pressure medicine leads to dangerous drops in blood pressure right after anesthesia starts. Researchers will measure how low and how long blood pressure falls, and how much extra medicine is needed to fix it. The goal is to learn which drug combinations are safest, not to test a new treatment.
