Heart surgery patients: do multiple BP pills raise risk of dangerous pressure drop?

NCT ID NCT07541222

First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026

Summary

This study looks at 160 adults having planned heart surgery to see if taking more than one blood pressure medication leads to more severe blood pressure drops right after anesthesia starts. Researchers will measure how low blood pressure goes and how long it stays low, and how much extra medicine is needed to keep it stable. The goal is to better understand risks and improve care for these patients.
