New study tests creams that block Light-Induced skin spots

NCT ID NCT07537595

First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested seven different cosmetic creams to see if they could prevent skin darkening caused by high-energy visible light (like from the sun or screens). Thirty-three healthy adults with light to medium skin tones had creams applied to their back before being exposed to a specific type of visible light. Researchers measured skin color changes and checked for any redness or irritation to find out which creams worked best.
