Can a Two-Drug combo make arthritis treatment work better?

NCT ID NCT01895764

Summary

This study tested whether adding methotrexate to adalimumab treatment helps prevent the body from developing antibodies against adalimumab in people with ankylosing spondylitis. Researchers enrolled 110 adults with active ankylosing spondylitis who hadn't responded well to standard anti-inflammatory drugs. The main goal was to see if this drug combination could make the treatment more effective by reducing the body's immune response against the medication.
