Two drugs better than one? study tests combo for spinal arthritis
NCT ID NCT01895764
Summary
This study tested whether adding methotrexate to the standard drug adalimumab helps reduce the body's immune reaction against the treatment in people with ankylosing spondylitis. Researchers enrolled 110 adults with active spinal arthritis who hadn't responded well to common anti-inflammatory drugs. They measured whether the drug combination resulted in fewer antibodies against adalimumab and tracked changes in disease activity.
