Could a simple cuff switch help new moms bond with their babies?

NCT ID NCT07422766

Summary

This study aims to see if blood pressure can be accurately measured at the ankle instead of the arm during planned C-sections. The goal is to determine if using an ankle cuff frees up the mother's arms, making it easier and more comfortable to hold her newborn for important skin-to-skin contact right after birth. Researchers will compare measurements from both sites in 110 women having planned C-sections to see if the readings are similar.
