Could a simple cuff switch help new moms bond with their babies?
NCT ID NCT07422766
Summary
This study is checking if a blood pressure cuff placed on the ankle gives readings as accurate as the standard arm cuff during planned C-sections. The goal is to see if moving the cuff to the ankle makes it easier and more comfortable for mothers to hold their newborns for skin-to-skin contact right after birth. Researchers will measure blood pressure at both sites in 110 women having planned C-sections to compare the results.
