First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a new surgical technique for people with ankle bone and cartilage defects that cause pain and swelling. The procedure uses a special scaffold filled with the patient's own bone marrow cells, placed under the cartilage to help it heal. The goal is to see if this approach improves symptoms and tissue repair better than current methods. The study will involve 20 participants and track their progress with MRI scans and clinical exams.
