New scaffold and bone marrow cells aim to heal ankle defects

Summary

This study tests a new surgical technique for people with ankle bone and cartilage damage. Doctors will place a special scaffold enriched with the patient's own bone marrow cells under the damaged area to help it heal. The goal is to improve pain and function, and the study will follow 20 participants for one year.
