Liver transplant patients may dodge kidney failure with simple drug infusion

Summary
This study tests whether giving a drug called angiotensin 2 during liver transplant surgery can prevent acute kidney injury, a common and serious complication. About 30 adults with end-stage liver disease will be randomly assigned to receive either the drug plus standard care or standard care alone during their operation. Researchers will track kidney function and complications for up to 28 days after surgery.
