New imaging test may predict chemo success early in breast cancer

NCT ID NCT05402930

First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looked at whether angiomammography (a type of contrast-enhanced mammogram) can predict if breast cancer will completely disappear after chemotherapy, compared to MRI. Researchers followed 67 women with breast cancer who received chemotherapy before surgery. The goal was to see if this imaging method could identify non-responders early, allowing doctors to switch treatments sooner.
