New stroke treatment could help thousands avoid Long-Term disability

Summary
This study tests whether giving the clot-busting drug tenecteplase directly into the brain's arteries can improve recovery for people with a medium vessel occlusion stroke. About 488 adults who have had a stroke within the last 24 hours will be randomly assigned to receive either the drug or standard medical care. The goal is to see if this approach helps more people regain independence within 90 days.
