First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looked back at 481 patients who had a stroke and underwent a procedure to remove a blood clot from their brain. Researchers compared those who received general anesthesia (fully asleep) versus sedoanalgesia (awake but relaxed) to see if one led to better survival and recovery. The goal was to understand which approach might be safer for stroke patients.
