First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looked at 481 adults who had a stroke and underwent a procedure to remove a blood clot. Researchers compared those who received general anesthesia (fully asleep) versus sedoanalgesia (awake but relaxed) to see if one led to better survival and brain recovery. The goal was to find out which approach might be safer for stroke patients.
