New anesthesia mix aims to protect nerves during spine operations
NCT ID NCT06210061
Summary
This study compared two combinations of anesthesia drugs used during major spine surgery. Researchers wanted to see which mix better preserved the electrical signals from the brain and spinal cord that surgeons monitor to prevent nerve damage. The trial involved 78 adult patients undergoing spine procedures to determine if adding a specific drug (dexmedetomidine) could improve safety monitoring.
