Study probes if less anesthetic gas reduces Surgery-Related inflammation
NCT ID NCT07230704
Summary
This study looked back at medical records to see if using a lower flow of anesthetic gas during weight-loss surgery affects the body's inflammatory response. Researchers compared two groups of 155 patients who had sleeve gastrectomy: one group received a low flow of sevoflurane gas, and the other received a standard flow. The main goal was to see if the lower flow rate led to different levels of inflammation markers and affected patients' blood pressure and heart rate stability during the operation.
