Faster anemia detection for Moms-to-Be: no needle needed?

NCT ID NCT05977686

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at three quick ways to check for anemia in pregnant women: a finger clip sensor, a finger prick test, and a smartphone photo of the nailbed. Researchers want to see if these methods are as accurate as standard blood draws. About 250 pregnant women will take part to help improve anemia detection, especially in low-resource settings.
