Summary

This study tests a new form of oxytocin given under the tongue to prevent severe bleeding after a normal vaginal delivery. About 330 healthy pregnant women will receive different doses to find the safest and most effective amount. The goal is to see if this method can keep the uterus firm and limit blood loss to less than half a liter.
