Summary
This study tested a new drug called MT-6548 against a standard treatment (darbepoetin alfa) for anemia in people on dialysis for chronic kidney disease. About 323 participants in Japan received either the new drug or the standard one to see if it worked as well at keeping hemoglobin levels stable. The goal was to find a safe and effective alternative for managing anemia in this group.
