Summary
This study followed 209 patients with a serious heart valve infection called endocarditis to see how many also had anemia (low red blood cells). Researchers measured anemia at diagnosis, during treatment, and up to 6 months after leaving the hospital. The goal was to better understand the link between infection and anemia, which can affect recovery.
