First seen Dec 04, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding a gamma-irradiated amniotic membrane graft during standard surgical repair for posterior vaginal wall prolapse (rectocele) improves outcomes. Twenty-five women aged 30-60 underwent the procedure. Results suggest the graft may help reduce prolapse and related symptoms, though more research is needed.
