Summary
This study looked at whether amla (Indian gooseberry) can help treat chronic gum disease when added to standard deep cleaning. Thirty adults with moderate to severe gum disease received either standard cleaning alone or cleaning plus a 2-week course of amla. Researchers checked gum health and antioxidant levels over 6 months to see if amla provided extra benefit.
