Scientists create 'Avatar' mice to hunt for better leukemia treatments
NCT ID NCT06782971
Summary
This study aims to speed up the discovery of better treatments for acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Researchers will collect blood and bone marrow samples from 25 AML patients receiving standard care. They will implant these human cancer cells into special mice to create 'avatar' models, then test how different drug combinations work against the cancer in these mice to identify promising new treatments for future human trials.
