New vaccine aims to fight Alzheimer's plaques before dementia strikes

Summary
This study is testing an experimental vaccine called ACI-24.060. It aims to train the body's immune system to target and clear amyloid plaques, a hallmark of Alzheimer's disease. The trial will enroll 176 people in two groups: those with very early Alzheimer's symptoms and adults with Down syndrome who are at high risk for the disease. The main goals are to check the vaccine's safety and see if it triggers the desired immune response.
