New vaccine trial targets Alzheimer's in High-Risk groups

Summary
This study is testing an investigational vaccine called ACI-24.060 to see if it is safe and can help the body's immune system fight the harmful amyloid proteins linked to Alzheimer's disease. It is enrolling 176 adults who either have very early-stage Alzheimer's (prodromal) or are adults with Down syndrome who are at high risk for developing Alzheimer's. The main goals are to check for side effects and see if the vaccine triggers an immune response that reduces amyloid in the brain.
