First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested a new approach to help older Latinos with dementia get better care. Researchers trained primary care doctors in Kansas City to improve their skills in detecting dementia and referring patients to a Health Navigator. The Navigator then provided support and connected patients and their caregivers to community resources. The goal was to see if this program was practical and well-received by doctors, patients, and families.
