First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested a new approach to help older Latinos with dementia get better care. Researchers trained primary care doctors in Kansas City to better detect dementia and refer patients to a health navigator. The navigator then provided support and connected families to community resources. The goal was to see if this program was practical and well-received by both doctors and families.
