Can a sensory room ease the strain of Alzheimer's?
NCT ID NCT07279103
Summary
This study is testing whether a special type of occupational therapy in a multisensory room can help people with moderate Alzheimer's disease. The therapy uses lights, sounds, and textures to engage the senses, aiming to improve thinking, reduce difficult behaviors, and lower stress for family caregivers. It involves 24 older adults and their caregivers, who will attend two sessions a week for four weeks to see if the approach makes a difference.
