Scientists scan brains to unlock Alzheimer's secrets

NCT ID NCT03503331

Summary

This study uses PET and MRI brain scans to measure amyloid protein buildup in people with Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will examine 160 participants already enrolled in an Alzheimer's research program to understand how race, vascular risk factors, and brain changes relate to cognitive symptoms. The study aims to gather knowledge about Alzheimer's progression rather than test treatments.
