Summary
This study looked at how often emergency room doctors in Villavicencio, Colombia, use a tool called the Alvarado score to help diagnose appendicitis. The researchers surveyed 125 doctors to see if they knew about the score, used it, and wrote it down for patients with belly pain. The goal was to understand current practices, not to test a new treatment.
