First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looked at how sleeping at moderate altitude (above 1000 meters) affects oxygen levels in healthy adults. 44 participants had sleep tests at both low and moderate altitude to compare time spent with low oxygen. The goal was to understand how short descents to lower altitude might improve sleep breathing.
