Fasting before chemo: a new way to ease side effects?

NCT ID NCT05990426

First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether alternate day fasting (eating very little every other day) before chemotherapy can help reduce side effects and improve quality of life for women with ovarian, endometrial, or uterine cancer. About 30 women who have had surgery and are about to start chemo will either follow the fasting plan or eat normally. The goal is to see if fasting is safe and doable, and if it helps with treatment-related side effects.
