First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether a robot named Alter-Ego can safely help healthcare workers care for people with ALS. The robot can do tasks like help with remote doctor visits, deliver items, give reminders, and check for pain or distress. About 40 patients and their care teams will test the robot in a hospital and a mock home setting to see if it is easy to use and helpful.
