First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called BIIB105 in adults with ALS, a disease that weakens muscles over time. The trial had two parts: first, some people got the drug and some got a placebo; then everyone could get the drug for up to 3 years. The study was stopped early, and researchers looked at safety, how the drug moves in the body, and whether it could slow the disease.
