First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at how ALS affects the brain's ability to prepare and start walking, especially in people with balance problems. Researchers compared 59 participants (ALS patients with and without balance issues, plus healthy volunteers) using motion sensors and brain scans. The goal was to understand why some ALS patients have trouble with walking and balance, which could help design better therapies in the future.
